I AM THE STANDARD DOCUMENTARY

Marginalized women of color seek to break the stereotype against their natural hair in an attempt to deconstruct the current standard of beauty in the world.

What I want to accomplish with this documentary is to educate people on the triumphs, the struggles, the discrimination and the POWER of natural hair. Inspire women to be bold with the hair that they were born with (and even the ones they buy in a store.) And to encourage everyone to change their view on what "standard of beauty" is.
